Music in the Garage

Completely off topic but a big day today. My favorite band, the Jayhawks, have announced new tour dates and a new album release date. I listen to music nonstop while working and whenever I plan for a marathon editing session I usually put on the Jayhawks. I never know how to explain them to people, but in the genre of adult folk y’alternative music, they are the kings. The hooks and melodies are fantastic. Here’s a gem, Everybody Knows, a song written by lead singer Gary Louris for the Dixie Chicks. They’ve been around forever and I’ve seen them all over. We’ve even flown out to Colorado to catch a couple shows. They don’t come to California all that often but when they do I go to as many shows as possible. Sound of Lies is probably my favorite album, even though I suggest “Rainy Day Music” to new listeners.
