About Sloppy's Garage

Refreshed 6/2026. I'm a one man operation. (Still true although my buddy Sean shoots some games with me and my boys both help me occasionally on Photo Days.) Photography is not my full-time job (It is now, and has been for a few years!) but I am lucky that my schedule allows me the flexibility do it. I pay my bills doing freelance digital illustration, and have for almost 25 years. (I still do the rare job for Cartoon Network or Disney, but I’m a photographer now.) You can explore that half of Sloppy’s Garage and see some of my work here. I like taking pictures of my three kids doing their thing, yours too if you want. Sports, orchestra, choir, dance - whatever they are passionate about! (THIS week, ha!). I use unique angles and play with contrast and shadows for more dramatic images. I want to create something you will cherish and display, not just a handful of shots you bury in a scrapbook. (Although I do appreciate good scrapbooking.) The last few years I've added Family, High School Seniors, Team Photos and even a couple Weddings to my brag bag. (Look at the photo below… in my original Sloppy’s t-shirt before my logo redesign and when I had hair!) People ask me where the name “Sloppy’s Garage” came from. Pretty simple actually. I needed a name to invoice Disney for my freelance services and didn’t like the idea of using my own name. Since my main task was turning hand inks into vector files, essentially turning sloppy files into tight lines - is where the Sloppy came from. I was eating at a Schlotzky’s Deli at the time and factoring in that my dad was a mechanic and owned a repair shop, so it’s a nod to him and how hard he worked. The fact that I work on my files in my garage just adds to the story.

You can find me on Facebook as Bryan Sloppy Wright. Send me a friend request and if I've shot your kid before, I'll tag you in a few. I like to go back in the archives and pop Flashback Photos on friends walls. If we have mutual friends you'll see them too! On Instagram I'm sloppysgarage. (This is where I’m the most active) I try to post something every day, usually selfies of the job I’m on. The kids love it and I like being able to post for them directly. If you have an idea for a collage, slideshow, or some other photo or graphic project, I bet I can help. I'm easy to work with.
