2025 EAST Aquatics Photo Day

I have done one of these youth swim teams before back in 2021. Thankfully no climbing on roofs today! But this one did start a little weird. I went to the Esperanza pool only to discover the pool was empty and being renovated! There was crumbled cement all around. I only had an email for Ashley and knew she’d probably not see it. I saw the banner on the fence (that I put together earlier with her photos) and tried the QR code. I couldn’t find a phone number on the website but in a photo I recognized Hailey as a coach so I called her mom. They were using Yorba Linda’s pool during the remodel. I was a little frazzled knowing 75 kids or so were waiting on me, but when I arrived it was almost like a family BBQ! Everyone was in little groups eating or listening to music and kids started lining up for photos. We got the team photo done first and then individuals for the kids that wanted those.
