2025 HCS Musical CURTAINS

I’ll be shooting a handful of musicals this school year and here’s the first! The original plan was to shoot the headshots of each kid along with a “character pose” followed by action shots of the dress rehearsal. Since the stage was being used we couldn’t shoot the headshots there and someone suggested we use a wall. No way brother! Luckily I had my green screen in the car and I quickly called an audible. During their dinner break I got a couple shots of the stage backgrounds. At home I cleaned those up and filtered those to use with the headshots. The biggest challenge was the group shot of the cast above. I had my lights scattered in the church pews and I balanced on a ladder, also worth it. Love the result. I could not shoot the kids in the upper stage, simply too far and dark but I did manage to get a candid of everyone. You can download any photo from here, prints are also discounted.
